About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Design & Development Engineer to play a key role in driving hardware and product innovation. The role will take ownership of product design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and implementation, requiring strong CAD capabilities, hands-on fabrication knowledge, and a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles. The individual will lead products through the complete development lifecycle while coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, vendor, and cross-functional teams.
Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate 3D CAD models, detailed part and assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to support manufacturing and assembly.
- Lead the end-to-end product development cycle – from ideation and prototyping to manufacturing and field implementation.
- Take responsibility for team handling and effective execution of projects.
- Analyze and optimize existing designs for improved performance, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.
- Develop functional prototypes, conduct product testing, and incorporate user feedback into iterative improvements.
- Provide on-ground support during product development, trials, and implementation as required.
- Plan and manage design projects including timeline, budget, and workflow tracking.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams to brainstorm and implement innovative product solution.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4-6 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Experience in team handling and project execution.
- Experience in managing multiple projects and coordinating with vendors or manufacturing teams.
